Laonis Quinn is the founder of Breathe: Anthony J Chapman Asthma Foundation. Since the untimely death of her oldest son in 2007 from a fatal asthma attack, her mission has been to educate and bring awareness of the effects that this disease has on families and communities and to hopefully save lives. She been active in the community for over 15 years serving on various other organizations. Mrs. Quinn is an active member of the Detroit Asthma Steering Committee. Mrs. Quinn has been a Registered Nurse for over 20 years. She earned her Bachelors of Science Degree from Eastern Michigan University and a Master of Science in Nursing Education from the University of Phoenix
Ashley D. Reece, Youth Coordinator at Blessed Community Baptist Church, has a passion for providing educational services to the youth in both the church and the community. Being directing impacted by asthma, herself and her children, Ashley understands the importance in assisting in the educating asthma patients on how to live with asthma and a variety of resources. Ashley has a Masters of Arts in Education from Ashford University.
Annie J. Taylor, floral designer and business owner for 25 years, has volunteered with various outreach programs such as Zurvita Ministries Feed 500, Vista Maria Social Services and GC Womens Ministry. With asthma personally affecting her family for years, Annie joined the Anthony J. Chapman Foundation to better inform and educate communities. Annie is a graduate of Ecorse High School and Detroit Business Institute.
Andre J. Chapman has made it his mission to educate as many people living with asthma and provide the knowledge and tools to beat this disease. A graduate of Martin Luther King High School and an Associates Degree holder ((CIS) Computer Information Systems), Andre is no stranger to asthma as he has been living with it since infancy.
Carlton Tyrone Honey Jr.’s involvement in the community is extensive and he brings a wide range of knowledge to the Anthony J. Chapman Foundation Team. His involvement includes being an Ordained Elder at Word Restoration Ministries, a Business Leader for #BeyondHashtag Male Mentorship and Founder of Congress of Servants (Community Involvement). Carlton has a Bachelor of Science in Business from University of Phoenix.
With over 40 years nursing experience, Beverly Cooper RN., BSN has been involved in community services both professionally as well as through the church. Her medical experience is diverse within various fields; Medical-Surgical, Emergency Medicine, ICU, Ambulatory and Mental Health. She obtained her BSN from Oakland University and Associate Degree from Highland Park Community College.
